Hampton Lake and Fraser Construction Honored By
National Association of Homebuilders With
“Best in American Living Award”

A new community in Bluffton won the homebuilding industry’s
“Oscar” this week, when Hampton Lake received top honors
from the National Association of Homebuilders and
Professional Builder magazine.

South Carolina Association of Realtors - January 2008
I was invited to attend the Realtor Association Leadership
Conference in Columbia, S.C. in early December. Sponsored by
the South Carolina Association of Realtors, the purpose was
to prepare Realtors for leadership positions on our local
boards as well as for state committees. We were provided
information from Byron King, the attorney for the state
board, and shared networking opportunities. The SCAR
provides its members with a high standard for all REALTORS®
to live up to as well as providing an important difference
to consumers. |

Council of
Residential Specialists - January 2008
On January 10 in Savannah, Georgia, I also completed a
highly specialized course in residential real estate
buyers sales strategies conducted by the Council of
Residential Specialists of the National Association of
Realtors.
This course is one in a series of professional
education sequences required to qualify for the
coveted Certified Residential Specialist (CRS)
designation.
The segments of the course included counseling
techniques, understanding human behavior and
professional knowledge of the required steps in the
real estate sales sequence. Through these courses, I
learned the growing importance of negotiation, as well
as sales strategies. I also have a better
understanding of the many and varied needs of the
buyer, who is making what is probably the largest,
single purchase of a lifetime. |
